Airlie Race Week is the largest keelboat regatta off Queensland's mainland and the largest event in the Whitsundays. The event promises great sailing for participants and spectators, and the social atmosphere is just as vibrant. Featuring internationally and nationally recognised musicians, headline acts include famous 70s UK rock band 10cc, American Toni Childs, Scottish singer-songwriter Sandi Thom, Richard Clapton, Wendy Matthews, Angry Anderson with the James Southwell Band and The Black Sorrows. The main stage sits on the magic shores of the Coral Sea and festival goers can see three main concerts and over 200 musicians performing in the many quaint bars and beachside venues around this fun-filled holiday town. Airlie Beach turns on the northern charm for a perfect party weekend in paradise.
