The original landowners, the Aborigines lived there for 10s of thousands of years and their culture and art can be found throughout Sydney and surrounds. Sydney is a sprawling city with suburbs many kilometres out from the city centre.

A great way to tour the Sydney harbour and Sydneys suburbs is jump on a ferry that will even take you to outlying Manly. Sydney is home to the world renown icon - Sydney Opera House that attracts millions of visitors annually. The Harbour Bridge is famous in its own right overlooking the annual Sydney to Hobart race on Boxing Day, and houses a spectacular fireworks display every New Years Eve. World class dining, shopping, art exhibits, theatre, historical architecture and over 70 beaches to enjoy is just some of what attracts so many visitors every year to Sydney.

Within 2 - 3 hours of Sydney you will discover the Blue Mountains with its rugged and stunning landscape and the Hunter Valley a premiere wine region. Further from Sydney are the Snowy Mountains home to many skiing activities and also world heritage listed Lord Howe Island.

Explore the Murray River Australia's longest river. Spend some time in Byron Bay, a beach community that is a bit eclectic but hosts some great festivals and art exhibits. Jervis Bay beaches on the south coast of New South Wales are very safe and have the most incredibly turquoise blue water and pristine sand beaches.

Accommodation is a vast array of hotels, resorts, self-contained apartments, holiday homes, bed & breakfast and backpackers accommodation. Transport and services are world class. Climate varies depending upon time of year with warm sometimes hot summers and cool/cold winters. However, New South Wales is a year around holiday destination depending upon what activity or exploring the traveller is looking for.
