The Noosa Festival of Surfing is a week
long family event that incorporates
amateur and Pro longboard surfing plus a
range of other surfing disciplines,
including Stand Up Paddle, Tandem and
Finless. The amateur divisions range
from Under 15 Boys and Under 18 Girls
through to Over 65 Men. The event also
includes surf cultural entertainment for
all ages. It is the largest surfing
event in the world by competitor
numbers. |

the competition on the June
long-weekend. The annual Etchells
Australasian Winter Championship
attracts the best one-design sailors in
Australasia to Mooloolaba on the
Sunshine Coast for four days of intense
sailing competition.
The strictly controlled one-design
Etchells is one of the most competitive
classes to race, with Olympians, World
Champions and America's Cup sailors
competing regularly in the class and in
the Mooloolaba event. Add in warm winter
weather, the welcome of the friendly
locals, loads of accommodation choices,
fun entertainment for the family, great
food, and for the sailors easy access to
the open water competition area right in
front of Mooloolaba Beach, and you have
the right mix for a great long weekend
for the sailors, their supporters and
all the spectators.

Every year national and international
competitors/ spectators flock to
Queensland's shores to take part in
Australia's largest triathlon event and
the largest Multi Sport Festival of its
kind in the southern hemisphere. The
first Noosa Triathlon was held in 1983
and attracted 180 competitors, helmets
were optional, wetsuits were banned and
cyclists got lost on the course!
However, in its 31 years of operation,
Noosa Triathlon has grown into a first
class multi sport and entertainment
event. Today, the Subaru Noosa Triathlon
Multi Sport Festival is an annual
five-day hallmark event, celebrating
sports participation, healthy
lifestyles, fitness and fun. With an
irresistible mix of sport and
entertainment coupled with sun, sea and
surf in one of Australia's most popular
destinations, Noosa, the event consists
of various family, social and sporting
